About Me
Hi! I’m Terry.
If you are like me, you want to understand Scripture, but individual study often leaves us either stuck in confusion or wandering into error. No one person has the background or brain power to fathom the wisdom God packed in His words and His works. That’s why it’s better to tackle the job of comprehending Him together.
I am a writer and speaker who loves gathering clues about God from His Word and creation. I want to help God’s people grow in wonder, appreciation and understanding of Him by finding fresh ways to approach Scripture together so we all expand our ability to both apply and share what we’ve learned.
Maybe you’ve tried studying the Bible on your own and gotten stuck on a phrase or a concept the way I have. Maybe you, too, have struggled to understand why particular passages are even included between the big black book’s pages and what they could possibly have to do with us so many years after they were written.
If that’s so, grab your Bible, dig out your journals and let’s gather around our Father’s table and feast together on His bread of life. If we add conversation to our meal, we can share with each other the nuances of flavor each of us is picking up in His recipe. As my insights improve your understanding, yours will help expand mine.
That’s why I’ve created this blog. I’m as much student as I am teacher. Though I love sharing what I’ve learned with you, I also long to hear your take on what I’m studying. Learning helps me teach and teaching helps me learn. How about you?
Let’s start a conversation. Push the subscribe button so you know when I post something new and get ready to share your thoughts with me. You’ll also be eligible to receive a brief monthly newsletter from me to find out about my latest comings and goings.
When I’m not writing or speaking, you’ll find me busy mentoring other writers with Word Weavers International, an organization where writers network, form critique groups, and refine their ability to communicate. If you stop by the house unannounced, beware. Once I clean my hands of ink, I usually shove them in the dirt. The garden is my reward for finishing my writing. We might have a noisy visit if the grands have stopped by, but even if we can’t talk over their voices, we’ll be aptly entertained. If I don’t answer the door, you’ll have to wait until my husband and I get back from a hike through one of the nearby nature preserves. Just leave me a note and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
Thanks for visiting my website! I’d love to hear from you. Take a moment to leave a comment from time to time and let’s talk.
